Pray for Myanmar

The headline 4,000 dead in Myanmar caught my eye this morning. I followed a link to an article from the New York Times reporting on the devastation caused by a Cyclone that hit the country over the weekend.

Pray for the people in Myanmar. Pray that help from outside countries would be mobilized and welcomed. Pray that in the midst of such pain and suffering, God would use his church to bless, to help, to restore and to point people to lasting hope in Jesus Christ.

I've seen it throughout the day all over the news. The update: 22,000 dead, 40,000 missing and 1,000,000 homeless. It's devastating and they still refuse to let American disaster relief specialists in to inspect the effects, thus taking no steps in accepting aid or alleviation from other countries.
